Risen Books is an independent Christian publisher of quality fiction based in Portland, Oregon. We are committed to publishing books with a strong Biblical worldview and fascinating stories.
Risen Books is a recognized publisher by the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) association and by the International Thriller Writers.
Risen Books is not a self-publishing company or a vanity press.
We are, however, different from traditional Christian publishers in a few ways. First, we don’t shy away from controversial and edgy topics, nor from Young Adult novels, like many of them. Unlike traditional publishers, who rely on bookstores and retail stores to distribute their books, Risen Books sells mainly through the Internet. We don’t print thousands of copies to keep in stock, but print to order, directly from the printer to the consumer. Our books can still be ordered through any bookstore in the US, Canada, and the UK (and Australia starting in the summer of 2011), but may not be available in shelves. However, our books will always be available through Amazon.com and BN.com.
